Plain English, because you should not need a solicitor to work out what happens to your email address.

The short version

If you enter your email address on this site, I store it so I can tell you when QuoteSnug is ready to try. I send you one confirmation email and, later, one email when there is something to try. I do not sell your details, share them for marketing, or add you to any other list. Ask me to delete them and I will.

Who is responsible

QuoteSnug is run by Clayton Sampere, a sole trader based in East Sussex, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK GDPR I am the data controller for the email addresses collected here.

Contact: hello@quotesnug.co.uk

What I collect

When you sign up, the following is stored:

  • Your email address. Required — it is the only way to tell you when the product is ready.
  • Your trade, if you chose one. Optional. It tells me which trades are interested.
  • Which price you were shown. The page shows either £10 or £15 so I can learn which is credible.
  • How you arrived. A short label such as “landing”, so I know which channels work.
  • The date and time you signed up.

That is everything. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no tracking cookie on this site — which is also why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

Why I am allowed to hold it

My lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time and I will delete your record.

What I use it for

Two things, and nothing else:

  • Emailing you when QuoteSnug is ready to try.
  • Counting how many tradespeople are interested, so I can decide whether to build it. This is aggregate counting, not profiling.

I will not use your address for unrelated marketing, and I will not send you anything on behalf of another company.

Who else can see it

Two service providers process the data on my behalf:

  • Supabase — stores the signup list.
  • Vercel — hosts the website.
  • Resend — sends the confirmation email.

Each is bound by its own data processing terms and none of them may use your address for their own purposes. Some of these providers operate servers outside the UK, so your data may be transferred internationally under the safeguards in their processing terms.

Nobody else receives your details. I do not sell data and there is no circumstance in which I would.

How long I keep it

Until QuoteSnug launches or I decide not to build it, and then no more than twelve months. If I decide not to proceed, I will email you to say so and delete the list.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask me to:

  • tell you what I hold about you;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop using it;
  • send you a copy in a portable format.

Email hello@quotesnug.co.uk and I will action it within one month, usually far sooner. Replying “remove” to any email from me is enough.

If you are unhappy with how I handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

The signup list is held in a database that is not publicly readable: the website can add a signup but cannot read the list back out. Access is limited to me. Traffic to this site is encrypted over HTTPS.

I am one person, not a security department, so I have deliberately kept the amount of data collected to the minimum. The best protection for information is not holding it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially while your address is on the list, I will email you. The date at the top always shows the current version.
